What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, business name, and ABN. When you use EQUOS, we store the business data you enter — inventory, orders, contacts, and related operational data.

How we use it

Your data is used to provide the EQUOS service. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data. We do not use your business data for advertising or profiling.

Where it's stored

Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase / Firestore) in the Australia region. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

Chat and contact messages

When you use the chat widget or send us a message through the contact form, we store the name, email address, and message content you provide as a support ticket in Firestore (Google Cloud). The chat widget also keeps your name, email, and a chat reference in your browser's local storage so your conversation stays connected across page visits — you can clear this any time from your browser. If you choose our optional AI assistant instead of talking to a person, the text you send is processed by Google's Gemini API to generate a reply. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time by reaching out through our contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics service to understand aggregate usage patterns. This does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
